The Fantastic Four Trailer Reveals One Very Strange Aspect Of The Thing (And It’s From The Comics)

Just when you thought nothing could steal the spotlight from the ridiculously elegant silver surfer of Julia Garner or Ralph Ineson as a giant deviating the planet Galactus in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, “ It seems that the version of Ben Grimm’s film (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) went to be beard. You can see as much in the newly inveiled final trailer for “First Steps”, which offers the most difficult and rough member of the first Marvel family more attention than we saw in the past glimpses (Including the one who finally revealed Pedro Pascal in action as Reed Richards).
Judging by this new promo, it seems that the thing – which is known, among other things, its piercing blue eyes and its slogan “it’s Clobberin’s time!” – will be both the heart of the “first steps” and the butt of many of his jokes, just as he was In previous films live “Fantastic Four”. And while the “first steps” aim to change things of these films by jumping the original story of the four, it seems that Ben is still only an ill -understood man who was transformed into “monster” and simply tries to get out of it.
Anyway, this beard is a fairly shocking view, even in the context of the Marvel cinematic universe. For example, how can we manage rocky facials? Is it more than just a comb and clippers, perhaps requiring a hammer and a chisel instead? Where ends and ends with his beard? (It’s a shame that Wolverine is apparently not there lend him a hand.) More importantly, since the images of the trailer show that Ben looks shaved at another time, does that mean that he will take a long break in the superhero to develop his beard in the film?
Perhaps we should turn to the comics to shed light on the situation.
Yes, the thing can and grew up a beard in the four fantastic comics
It is difficult not to draw attention to yourself when you are a bunch of rocks, so adding a beard probably will only get things done. Honestly, however, we are not so concerned about the choice of facial hair by Ben, but rather how long it takes to grow your stalactite formation. It turns out that the answer could reside in comics, especially with a dark scene that takes place hundreds of years in the future.
In “Fantastic Four” # 605, Reed Richards and his father traveling in time, Nathaniel Richards, head for the future to learn the life of the best friend of Reed Ben, that they discover lives for centuries, by far surviving the rest of his superhero family. Finally, the two Richards go to the year 5012, where they meet something heavily bearded that cries the loss of his friends and awaits the return of Reed and the son of Sue Storm Franklin (who has been out of the world for a very long time and returns only 1000 years later when Ben finally passes).
While we know that the outdoor space plays a huge role in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (what with the arrival of Galactus and all), could the beard of Ben also refer to a sub-genigue in the trip in the film? If this is the case, it would be logical that the only member of the four who (literally) ages like Stone finds himself returning to the present with a new look. This could also have major implications for This post-key “Thunderbolts *” scene And how the “first steps” will more open the way to “Avengers: Doomsday”. I hope we have good answers when “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
