In a recent appearance on “Just Trish“Podcast organized by Trisha Paytas, Lizzo, whose full name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, admitted that she had experienced popular weight loss drugs like Ozempic, which she had already denied.
“It’s not easy,” admitted the artist winner of a Grammy, reflecting on his attempts to manage his weight. She noted that she had “tried everything” and, in the end, it was really about the calories.

When asked by Paytas how she was able to slow down her appetite without medical assistance, the singer “Truth Hurts” underlined the lifestyle adjustments, including a change in her diet and her fitness routine.
“When I was a vegan, I consumed a lot of false meats, I ate a lot of bread, I ate a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot to stay full, but I really consumed like 3,000 to 5,000 calories per day,” she shared.
Lizzo then noted that she had since moved away from vegan foods transformed into more natural meals rich in protein. After almost a decade of plant -based catering, it now includes whole foods such as beef, chicken and fish in its diet.

“I loved distracting myself with people. I loved to distract myself with food. I loved distracting me while drinking. I loved distracting myself with problems I would create. I would love to do this. And I stopped doing this,” she admitted, adding, “and I just focused on me.”
