Before his relationship with Clarkson, Blackstock was married to Melissa Ashworth from 2001 to 2012. The couple welcomed the daughter Savannah in June 2002 and her son Seth in November 2006. (Blackstock later became a grandfather in January 2022 when Savannah gave birth to his first baby, his son, with the second baby.

Clarkson and Brandon – whose father was his former manager Narvel Blackstock – began to go out together in February 2012 and made the knot a year later in October 2013. The couple welcomed Birl River in June 2014 and his son Remington in April 2016. During their wedding, Brandon was Clarkson manager.

In June 2020, Clarkson asked for the Brandon divorce after almost seven years of marriage. The ex finalized the procedure in March 2022 and Clarkson obtained the main custody of their two children. (The Twosome had a disorderly battle before the court on goods and finances.)

In January 2024, Clarkson thought about his divorce from Brandon, revealing that their marriage was not his idea.

“I never wanted to get married the first time,” she told people. “”[Brandon] had children, a religious environment, and it was important, I think, for him. But I have never been that person.

Clarkson explained that her hesitation came from what she had seen in front of her loved ones, adding: “Because I went through a few divorces in my family, I just don’t like to gain weight.”

In March, Clarkson shared a rare overview of its Coparetation Dynamics with Brandon during an appearance on the Podcast “Not Gonna Lie” by Kylie Kelce.

While discussing the double standards of children for their mothers and fathers, she admitted: “There are a lot of things in which I keep … because the coparenting is fun.”

Blackstock is survived by River and Remington and his two older children, Savannah and Seth.
