Astronomer published a statement via his LinkedIn page on Friday July 18, announcing that he has launched an investigation in the incident.
“Our leaders should establish the standard in conduct and responsibility,” the statement said. “The board of directors has launched an official investigation into this issue and we will have additional details to share very soon.”
The astronomer also confirmed that the byron declaration circulating the day before was, in fact, false.
