Carrie Underwood Under Fire Over Her Reaction To The ‘American Idol’ Winner

However, when Roberts began to interpret “Her Heart” by Anthony Hamilton as his last song, Underwood was seen sitting while the other judges remained standing.

The country singer apparently barely recognized Roberts when she and the other judges went on stage to celebrate her victory, which also raised her eyebrows.

In the midst of the reaction, Underwood published an article, congratulating Roberts for having come victorious in the song competition.

She wrote“Congratulations to the last winner of @amicanidol !!! I am so proud of Jamal Roberts and everything he has accomplished this season, and I can’t wait to see what mountains he climbs then! He will do great things!”

Underwood’s support message in Roberts did not seem to calm things, many who still slam the singer.

A viral post With more than 10 million views and 57K likes to read: “It was so forced and you posted it for the control of damage. America has made its way, for info. Do not bring it back @americanidol.”

However, in the midst of criticism, other fans came to the defense of Underwood and congratulated the 42 -year -old singer for a job well done in the series.

Someone wrote: “Now, all the enemies of Carrie can stop crying, saying that she didn’t like Jamal. You can all stop crying now. She loves her and said congratulations. You are all jealous of Carrie Point Blank.”

After the emergence of Roberts as the winner of the show and the backlash that has dragged Underwood since the end of the season, several fans are now in doubt that she resumes her role as judge.

However, the showrunner and executive producer Megan Michaels Wolflick addressed the future of the show in an interview with TVwhere she praised Underwood.

Wolflick said Underwood “really had to cut his own role”, and “enter the place of a former judge”, but should be “his own person, and she definitively did it”.

“I think she brought a factor of nostalgia, and I also like that she has brought a little criticism and constructive feedback, which is very necessary,” she continued. “She knows at the time how much she was pushed every week to become the best. So I think she brought a lot to the show, and I hope people love her.”

Although Underwood and the other judges did not address their future in the series, Wolflick apparently suggested that things are going well with them and they could probably resume their role.
