A Star Trek Mainstay Was Fashioned After George Wendt's Cheers Character

Back in 2011, Shepherd was interviewed by Startrek.com About playing Morn, and he had a lot of set stories. Above all, he remembers that his share was not strongly scripted and that many directors would give him substantive business on filming day. Because it did not bother to stay in Lurian heavy makeup for a quarter of 12 hours, Shepherd became a reliable pillar of the franchise. Shepherd also joked about the character’s silences, saying he found a really interesting, but, Golly, he has just been cut in the last episode. In the pilot “Deep Space Nine”, Morn is seen to make a very funny joke, but all audiences hear are people who laugh. Shepherd “recalls” the joke in question, saying it was:

“Finalism Finger Fink. Compulsory quotient Yokefellow, Coco Kachina Cosmological argument. Swallow Fish story bank, inculpate minuteman. Stress certifier in lecithin. Aeth with a hard heart, Divine Spirit Divine, Peace Green. Change is the ultimate solution.”

It is the humor of the 24th century. You would not get it. This is like saying “skibidi toilets” to anyone over 11 years old.

Morn really had her moment to shine in “Who full for the morning?” (February 2, 1998,) in which the character died. Quark (Armin Shimerman) has become involved in the old life of Morn, discovering that he had been involved in a long -standing criminal company to hide many Latinum from certain uncompromising partners. Morn, it seems, stole a bank, hid the booty and hid for ten years, hoping to survive the penal limitation period. His associates arrive and pass the episode to fight for the possible taking. After a shooting, they are all arrested.

Morn, however, then returns to the Quark’s bar. He simulated his own death, hoping to shoot his associates and make them imprison. It worked. Morn, it has been revealed, had transported the Latini inside his second stomach for a decade. This is why he lost all his hair.

Trekkies love in the morning. It was an appropriate tribute to Norm.
