Alan Jackson and Wife Denise’s 45-Plus Year Relationship Journey
Alan Jackson is one of the biggest names in country music and his wife, Denise Jacksonhas been along the journey since the first day.
The couple met in their Newnan hometown, Georgiaas adolescents. After making the knot in 1979, school lovers headed for Nashville in the 80s.
After almost five decades of marriage – which included health problems for Alan and Denise and a brief separation in the 90s – the couple continues to rely on each other.

1976
The duo met as he frequented Newnan High School in Georgia. They started to go out together when Alan was 18 years old and Denise was 16, according to today.

1985

Denise received a colorectal cancer diagnosis in 2010 and underwent radiation and chemotherapy. It was declared without cancer after two months of treatment.

Alan has dedicated its Willie Nelson Lifetime Prize Achievement to the 2022 CMA Awards to its long -standing partner.

Alan made a rare appearance in the middle of his health battle to “remember when” at ACM Awards. After the performance, he was honored by the life of life prize which was appointed in his honor.
“I would like to particularly thank a person who has been my best friend since the age of 17. It is my wife, Denise, there,” he said during her speech. “She loved me through good and evil and the happy and the sad and influenced me, gave me three beautiful girls, helped me keep my feet on the ground all these years.”
