Tory Lanez’s Condition Now Stable After Stabbing Scare

Rapper Tory Lanez Returns after a violent prison of stabbing left him multiple injuries, including collapsed lungs.

The incident occurred on May 12, 2025 at the California Correctional Institution of Tehachapi, where it goes for a 10 -year sentence for the shooting in 2020 of his colleague rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Despite the severity of the attack, Lanez’s state stabilized and it would be in a good mood.

On May 12, Lanez was attacked by another detainee. The assault occurred around 7:20 am in a prison housing unit, leaving the victim in critical condition with several stabs.

After the incident, the 911 responded immediately and started first aid before transporting to the Bakersfield hospital, where he started to receive treatment.

Days after the violent attack, Tmz Confirmed that the Canadian singer was back at the prison hospital.

Depending on the point of sale, the state of Lanez has now “stabilized” because it breathes independently and can communicate.

In addition, prison officials said Lanez was currently in good condition.

The Tory Lanez team shared a message on their Instagram page revealing the extent of the injuries suffered by 32 years.

The declaration, which has since collected more than a million reactions, revealed that the Crooner “Lady of Namek” had suffered 14 injuries by stab.

“Tory was stabbed 14 times – including 7 injuries in his back, 4 at his chest, 2 at the back of his head, and one on the left side of his face,” reads the post.

This also revealed that the attack had caused the two of Lanez’s two lungs, forcing it to be placed on a respiratory system.

“He now breathes alone. Despite the pain, he speaks normally, in good humor, and deeply grateful to God that he passes. He also wants to thank everyone for their prayers and their continuous support,” concluded the press release.

After the shocking revelation, the identity of the prisoner who stabbed Tory Lanez turned out to be Santino Casio, 42, a killer sentenced with a long history of violent crimes.

In 2004, he began to serve a perpetuity imprisonment with the possibility of parole after being found guilty of second degree murder, attempted murder in the first degree, personal use of a dangerous or fatal weapon and inflicting large bodily injuries.

Although he is in prison, Casio has not abandoned his violent paths, accumulating more accusations. In 2008, he took another sentence of six years for attacked another detainee with a fatal weapon with the intention of causing bodily injury.

A decade later, he was sentenced to two years in prison for possession and manufacture of a fatal weapon.

Now in 2025, it seems that Casio could lead even more years in prison. But for the moment, it has been placed in a limited accommodation while the California Department of Corrections and the office of the County Prosecutor of Kern have opened an investigation.

Although the state of Lanez has stabilized, the motif behind the stabs was not made public. The authorities are now wondering why Casio would attack Lanez, since he also has several prison terms.

Before the attempt of his life, Tory Lanez was serving a ten -year sentence.

In December 2022, he was found guilty of having shot the artist Megan Thee Stallion in the foot during an altercation of July 2020 in Los Angeles.

The jury recognized as guilty of three crime charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded and not recorded firearm and unloads a firearm with serious negligence.

During the trial, Megan testified that Lanez had shot his feet after an argument, which made him undergo surgery to eliminate the ball fragments.
