Steve Smith Sr. Accused of Affair Under Homewrecker Law
Former NFL star Steve Smith SR. is chased by the husband of his alleged mistress.
The trial against Smith, which was a wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers and the Ravens of Baltimore, was deposited on Monday April 28 at the Court of the county of Mecklenberg, in North Carolina, by documents obtained by US Weekly Friday May 2.
The applicant, Antonio Martinezcontinues Smith, 45, as part of the “Alienation of Affection Law” of North Carolina, which is also known as “Homewrecker Law”. It allows a spouse to continue a third party for having broken a wedding.
According to the trial, Antonio requests $ 100,000 in damages as well as a trial with jury. He also accuses Smith of the intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Antonio and his separate wife, Nicole MartinezMarried in September 2021 and separated towards the end of February 2025, when he discovered that Smith had “sent a message” to Nicole, said the documents of the court.
At the time, Antonio and Nicole – who shared a mixed family of six children, including a biological son – lived together in the county of Baltimore, Maryland. Antonio is a retired police officer and Nicole has already played in the Ravens fanfare, the Ravens on the move. As for Smith, he works as a sports analyst for NFL Network. The trial claims that in January 2025, Smith visited Baltimore for the eliminatory match of the Ravens against the Buffalo Bills. Nicole joined the Ravens on the ground that day.
During the match, Smith would have slipped the key to his hotel room in Nicole’s business. She met him at the hotel later and both had sex.
The trial says that Smith and Nicole had sent SMS each other from October 2024 to February and contains extracts from their sexually loaded exchanges. At one point, Nicole admitted: “I have not felt this spark for years.” Smith called their first meeting with a “magic” hotel room, telling Nicole: “Your body is so kind. You kiss was incredible! I want to have more time because it could have improved. I didn’t want to be fierce but I wanted you to feel like I felt you. ”
Nicole replied: “I am happy not to be the only one to feel this magic. I feel selfish to want more time with you. But it was like a dream.”
According to the trial, Antonio discovered their messages after having sex with Nicole, who admitted the case. He called Smith to face him.
“Hey, Yo Steve,” he said, according to the documents.
“Yes, sir,” said Smith.
“Yeah, you made my wife, my brother,” replied Steve. “What should you say for yourself?”

Smith would have apologized to him, with Antonio answering: “You, you knew that she was married. … You are not silly, guy, you are F *** Ing Steve Smith, Sr.”
He added: “Everything you do on television. Everything you talk to other people. Now someone has you on the phone F *** and you can’t even make the man?”
Antonio asked Nicole’s divorce on February 27 in Baltimore County. His trial includes a photo of Antonio which cries happy tears on their wedding day as well as a photo of the ex with their young son around 2021.
